Miami GP Schedule 2025: Formula 1

Track Schedule

The Miami GP weekend follows F1’s Sprint format. F1 track action starts on Friday at the Miami Autodrome with a 1-hour free practice session (FP1) for teams to find the perfect setup.

Friday afternoon sees Sprint Qualifying set the grid for the Sprint on Saturday.

Later on Saturday, Qualifying is a 3-part session where lap times decide starting positions for the Grand Prix on Sunday.

Pitstop Practice

Spectators with a view of the pits try not to blink. This is where pit crews hone their skills for the 2-second tyre change.

Pitstop Practice for the Miami GP is from 09:15 – 09:45 on Saturday.

Track Parade

This is when the grandstands really start to fill up. 2 hours before lights out, drivers warm-up for the race by waving at fans and answering questions. Last chance photo op before the helmets go on.

The driver’s parade at the Miami GP is from 14:00 – 14:30 on Sunday.

Miami GP Schedule 2025: Support Races

Porsche Carrera Cup North America

The Porsche Carrera Cup North America is a one-make sports car racing series that features Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. Winners of the North American series earn the opportunity to compete in international Porsche one-make series. The series features some of the most talented sports car drivers in North America, competing in a variety of events across the continent.

Track sessions on the timetable include two practice sessions on Friday. Saturday sees qualifying and race one. The second and final race takes place on Sunday.

F1 Academy

F1 Academy is an all female racing series that aims to popularise motorsports for women and girls and to provide a launchpad for higher tiers of motorsport, including ultimately, F1. The emphasis is on driver skill and so all cars use an identical chassis and engine.

Action gets underway on Friday with two practice sessions. Qualifying and the first race is on Saturday and the second race is on Sunday.
