Buying tickets can at first appear complicated as you’re likely to see different naming systems being used for the same tickets by different ticket retailers. In the grandstand reviews here you’ll find both the German and English versions of the names and where colour coding is referenced you’ll see beside that which level it refers to. It’s a good idea to familiarise yourself with the terminology before diving into purchase tickets.

German Grand Prix tickets FAQ

Are seats in grandstands reserved?
Yes. All grandstand tickets include reserved seating.
Are single day tickets available?
Sunday only tickets are available for all grandstands, as well as 3 day Friday to Sunday packages.
Are multi day tickets available?
Yes. At Hockenheim all grandstand tickets have the option to attend Friday through Sunday.
Are multi grandstand tickets available?
No. There aren’t any tickets for a reserved seat in multiple grandstands over the weekend, however there is the chance to try other grandstands on Friday (see below).
Is there a free to roam day at the German Grand Prix?
Yes, with some restrictions. Grandstands are organized into two groups so you can enter any other grandstand in your group. Each group is shown below. You are also free to explore general admission areas for a change of scenery and any point during the weekend.

What group/family tickets available?
There are no packages specifically tailored to families or groups but there are discounted tickets for children.
Are there discounted tickets for children?
Yes. Children can access all areas for free if under 7 and accompanied by an adult ticket holder. Otherwise discounted tickets are available for 7-15 year olds. Always bring ID.
Will there be a free pitwalk at the German Grand Prix?
There is usually a free pitwalk at Hockenheim for anyone with a 3 day ticket. Look out for details being announced nearer the time or check with officials at the circuit.
Are there general admission tickets for the German Grand Prix
General admission areas can be accessed by anyone with a grandstand ticket at any time over the weekend but general admission tickets cannot be bought separately.
